a month ago

Three weeks has gone away from my sacking. I didn’t want to write anything about my dismission, because it could be too emotional , too aggressive and unconstructive post. Even now I think that it’s too early. Really I want to write SWOT of project Taba.ru. I’ll do it later. Only two words about this situation. I realize that I got from this work quite much, enough for considering this job as a good experience in my life. First of all I’ve met great people. Secondly I’ve investigated so much information, which will help me in my business now. Now I’m happy, I realize now how it is tranquil to work for myself. But I will enjoy for a half of month, because I was invited to another project. Unlike my previous job, which was just miserable likeness of business, new project is real one. It is an e-commerce. I’ve missed big and profitable job. I don’t want to write today too much, because today is my husband’s birthday. He is 37. ))) He is very good. Sometimes I pain him, I’d like to excuse ..)) in advance too.

Today was great day.  We persuaded  our boss not to spend money and energy for “subbotnik”. Subbotnik is soviet era event, which takes place on Saturday, when people clean up their courtyards. Oh yes, great idea was to create a competition, where people have to send photos with the most dirty entrance hall. The winner would have to be determined by people’s vote. The prize for the winner would have to be cleaning company service. That was an idea of our mega boss. Funny, isn’t it. Particularly for internet project.  At the best  there would be 0,1% of our target audience.

But may be, I early rejoice, quite possible tomorrow we’ll return to this question..

Today is Sunday. I’ve been with my dear baby. Good day, but a bit chilly.

But yesterday I had to make the hardest decisions in my life, I did it. Really I don’t know if it was the correct one..

Several days ago I learned that the most frequent performed song in the world “A whiter shade of pale” of Procol Harum. This song have overtook ones of Queen and The Beatles. For me it was quite surprisingly. I’ve listened to it for several days and realize I like it very much.

ООООООО, God! This is new design of main page.  I remind that www.taba.ru   is positioned as social network builder. And we hang on main page green monster, call it “tabic” and rejoice. (( It is helper. Site builder helper! God! People!!! Co-workers!!! Project manager!!!  Where, hell, you look ? And what, hell, you see? Are we the monsters incorporation? Oh may be we are cartoon producer? Why this disgusting pixy settles down in the centre of main page? And what is the glamour cloud near it?

Co-workers, let we won’t forget that we should be attractive for users who want to build their site, express their identity, share their information with other users. We say in the ads “Create your own social network”, people click these ads, which link to our site… And then they should see only three types of information: successful examples of social networks, registration buttons and may be, although unnecessary, happy faces of creators these networks. Instead it they will see green ogre, which even wants to answer any questions. I don’t think users will ask them ))

Co-workers, let we won’t use just what we like, let we will think about usability and positioning of our product. Pleeeeeas. 

I will argue with project manager on Monday about this Shrek. 

One day of respite

Yes, we deserve it. Every person in our company deserve one tranquil day. Our investor was out today. Our mega director was almost out. I saw him only morning, when he came to check employees’ appearance at work on time.  And all this day we could allow just to WORK. Oh, I’ve worked with different bosses and investors and only here I’ve realized that to work, just to work without unlimited meetings and brain washing IT IS THE BIGGEST HAPPINESS for employee.

But not everything is perfect in our state. This week started from several bad news. Our unique visitors cut down three times compared last week.  Now we have to write all our tasks in e-taskmanager for our bosses, because they hadn’t seen before what we were doing. Of cause, if we used this program properly, it would be useful.  But now I spend too much time to write all my tasks for myself, instead to do it for my subordinates.  And eventually our mega bosses decided that we should start to work at 09.00 a.m. This rule relates to everybody, except codders.  They are our elite.  Funny.  Our case is the brightest example of McGregor’s theory X.

again monday

Yes, our friday party has gone "effectively". There was big scandal, our mega bosses showed masterpiece of management abilities. They taught one of our managers to run her employees, said her very rudely, that she didn’t have ability to manage them. All these words were told public and after fair quantity of alcohol. She didn’t have enough forces to contain tears. It was so terrible. Later I said that guys can’t evaluate her because of their incompetence and ignorance.
Also this big event has been remarkable drunk too much alcohol, that has led to various unpleasant cases, such as vomiting, fighting and broken nose. Next day we had to use our office for awarding winners of advertising campaign, so it was quite tough to put it in order. Really it’s so terrible that such drunkenness was approved and even initiated by our TOP MANAGEMENT. Very strange approach for company running isn’t it.
Today is Monday again. Really I don’t remember the worst day, even a week ago. But strangely enough it wasn’t linked with my job. Just with me. Firstly I have running nose and I have problems with realizing things around me. I’ve offended my good friend. Now he ignores me - doesn’t answer a call, doesn’t reply SMS, turns off ICQ. And another one bad news, of cause which can be solved, but I can’t think of this today.

Nomenclature and youth.

Today big student festival has finished in our city. Our internet project was a general sponsor on this offline event. We has spent about $10000. It’s attracted 1700 new unique visitors during 20 days and generated 13000 new fake users. 5000 users were registered tonight. Funny, isn’t it?  Our mega clever bosses had loudly rejoiced until this morning, when they eventually realized, that the reason of so many users is just  people’s willing of monetary prize, but not our product. There were as “hand made  from one IP users” as “program made users”.  

So one actually visit has cost $5,8. Too much for Russia. For world too, I think )) All this money we could spend on Google AdWords for example (less $0,2 for visit) or any banner ad ($0,7). But instead it we has bought this festival sponsorship, printed stickers and Hah Hah magnets, which people hang up on refrigerator. 5000 items of magnets, total sum $1800 . Yes!!! Viva universal foolishness!!! 

But today final concert of student festival was really perfect. But as usual charm of this event was damaged by official part, where were our governor, representatives of city administration and sponsors, including us.

I think our “mega” boss never had stepped on a scene before this evening )) Oh he was so excited, when the governor of our region gave him the certificate. Oh my god, Funny and Sadly. I work with idiots.

I was wrong.

We’ve achieved 10000 users. Wow.  Our Friday party will have justification. Super!!!  Unfortunately, I will have to miss this life holiday. My old friend has invited me to meet, if I will be all right. I’ve got caught a cold. Really so often parties don’t please very much. Bosses should find new way for expression of their feeling to employees. )) money for example. But salary increasing it’s not about me. I have too bad relations with my mega DIRECTOR. I can’t even count on small bonus, because every good thing, which is happened here don’t have any relation to me, including  10000 users.  I’ve weaned to work with idiots and unfortunately I can’t accept it already six months.

Our project manager has refused to make hyperlink from one URL to another one. This is so simple work, just five minutes. Sometimes he is fairly good, but quite often he persists to do simple thing, just because of his harmful identity.

Yesterday we set up new version.

Today morning our boss lost several votes after establishing new website build.  It were just wrong  dates. Votes stopped  at midnight and  by today morning  they hadn’t left  any trace. )) no results, no mention that they were here.  I don’t think It was a new site version, just someone crooked hands. Or absence of any usability expertise. )

Our mega bosses have decided  to encourage us another one drunk on Friday. The reason is 10000 users, as they think we

 will have had by Friday. I laugh for two causes here. Our mega managers don’t  know other method for increasing corporate culture and stuff motivation. Poor, poor management. Also I doubt that after stopping all the votes on our site tomorrow we will be able to attract enough new users  for achieving desired number of 10000. Now are 8993 users.

What is the fucking good day?

The worst day – the first one of week, the first  Monday of month.

So this “good” day began from non-working site for several hours. What is the fucking hosting provider?

It’s gone on  by useless counting of fake users. Our mega developers  and project manager can not find the way to forbid to vote from one computer many times,

It’s gone on by persuading investor to start federal advertising campaign.  He’s decided to move it for September. Despite on my fucking mood I proved him that we should do as soon as possible. Hah hah , I’ve mentioned  ning.com , which come in Russian market and cause it can launch ads in the near future. Oh god, If they really set up business here, I don’t think that early start can help us.

It’s  gone on by explaining our director advantages of outsourcing. What is the stupid idea to hire every specialists in the world?  And further to fire them because of their uselessness.

Eventually brand manager has created crazy plot for one event. It takes a lot of time for preparation, but event date is Wednesday.

But cause this Monday could be much worse, so  in comparison, it was a good day today

I want to follow twitter – short post.  I’ve met with my good friend today. He is clever, self-confident and smart boy. I even realize, that our conversations are similar ones with my husband many years ago.  I realize that he could be the best variant for updating of my second half , but it is impossible because of several reasons. One of them, I have one , husband I mean. But I want he’ll find true , PURE  LOVE . May be even after 100 iteration))

strange thing, but I  begin to belive in money. If you have good idea in the web, it is not necessary that you'll have a success. You can bring your ideas in the web, have some money or no, but IT IS A GOOD DAY TODAY if some big corporation offers you any money for your  "success"  e-business.

But... If you have enough money initialy and any brains for doing a good product, you can crash this world...

But... as usual It is not your money. And you should follow all willings of your investor, enen that was worst ideas in the world

So... I belive I do a good product, but ...

i'm working in Start up  taba.ru  It's new poject for Russian Internet. This is contructor of social networks .  I'm responsible for maketing and promotion. 

I think we had good start and I'm sure we'll have 1mln users by the end of this year. 

))) But It's so funny management in our company, I intend to decribe our company's business processes here in this blog.
