Beginning

10 months and I want to write again. I’ve visited one good event - Siberian Internet week, where was discussed theme of corporate blogs, and successful and not so examples. The most interesting ones are the real stories of leading business – such a pattern of reality show. Well here, I’m Russian entrepreneur, who work in a quite rare, but very perspective business in Russia. This is e-commerce - several active e-shops, which were launched by myself or with my partner and several planning ones. And we have one big aim in nearest future to unite many small shops in one big marketplace with united logistics system and call center. So, E-bay should fear us :) . Because no foreign online seller won’t be able to cope with Russian transport system.

So I’d like to tell about our experience of achieving our big aim. Many funny and not so things happen almost every day in our activity. So I will write about it - working with suppliers, partners, logistics companies, agents, customers, also about our technologies and other things, which we will face.

And I guess I will make a Russian copy in other blog.

a month ago

Three weeks has gone away from my sacking. I didn’t want to write anything about my dismission, because it could be too emotional , too aggressive and unconstructive post. Even now I think that it’s too early. Really I want to write SWOT of project Taba.ru. I’ll do it later. Only two words about this situation. I realize that I got from this work quite much, enough for considering this job as a good experience in my life. First of all I’ve met great people. Secondly I’ve investigated so much information, which will help me in my business now. Now I’m happy, I realize now how it is tranquil to work for myself. But I will enjoy for a half of month, because I was invited to another project. Unlike my previous job, which was just miserable likeness of business, new project is real one. It is an e-commerce. I’ve missed big and profitable job. I don’t want to write today too much, because today is my husband’s birthday. He is 37. ))) He is very good. Sometimes I pain him, I’d like to excuse ..)) in advance too.

Today was great day.  We persuaded  our boss not to spend money and energy for “subbotnik”. Subbotnik is soviet era event, which takes place on Saturday, when people clean up their courtyards. Oh yes, great idea was to create a competition, where people have to send photos with the most dirty entrance hall. The winner would have to be determined by people’s vote. The prize for the winner would have to be cleaning company service. That was an idea of our mega boss. Funny, isn’t it. Particularly for internet project.  At the best  there would be 0,1% of our target audience.

But may be, I early rejoice, quite possible tomorrow we’ll return to this question..

Today is Sunday. I’ve been with my dear baby. Good day, but a bit chilly.

But yesterday I had to make the hardest decisions in my life, I did it. Really I don’t know if it was the correct one..

Several days ago I learned that the most frequent performed song in the world “A whiter shade of pale” of Procol Harum. This song have overtook ones of Queen and The Beatles. For me it was quite surprisingly. I’ve listened to it for several days and realize I like it very much.

ООООООО, God! This is new design of main page.  I remind that www.taba.ru   is positioned as social network builder. And we hang on main page green monster, call it “tabic” and rejoice. (( It is helper. Site builder helper! God! People!!! Co-workers!!! Project manager!!!  Where, hell, you look ? And what, hell, you see? Are we the monsters incorporation? Oh may be we are cartoon producer? Why this disgusting pixy settles down in the centre of main page? And what is the glamour cloud near it?

Co-workers, let we won’t forget that we should be attractive for users who want to build their site, express their identity, share their information with other users. We say in the ads “Create your own social network”, people click these ads, which link to our site… And then they should see only three types of information: successful examples of social networks, registration buttons and may be, although unnecessary, happy faces of creators these networks. Instead it they will see green ogre, which even wants to answer any questions. I don’t think users will ask them ))

Co-workers, let we won’t use just what we like, let we will think about usability and positioning of our product. Pleeeeeas. 

I will argue with project manager on Monday about this Shrek. 

One day of respite

Yes, we deserve it. Every person in our company deserve one tranquil day. Our investor was out today. Our mega director was almost out. I saw him only morning, when he came to check employees’ appearance at work on time.  And all this day we could allow just to WORK. Oh, I’ve worked with different bosses and investors and only here I’ve realized that to work, just to work without unlimited meetings and brain washing IT IS THE BIGGEST HAPPINESS for employee.

But not everything is perfect in our state. This week started from several bad news. Our unique visitors cut down three times compared last week.  Now we have to write all our tasks in e-taskmanager for our bosses, because they hadn’t seen before what we were doing. Of cause, if we used this program properly, it would be useful.  But now I spend too much time to write all my tasks for myself, instead to do it for my subordinates.  And eventually our mega bosses decided that we should start to work at 09.00 a.m. This rule relates to everybody, except codders.  They are our elite.  Funny.  Our case is the brightest example of McGregor’s theory X.

again monday

Yes, our friday party has gone "effectively". There was big scandal, our mega bosses showed masterpiece of management abilities. They taught one of our managers to run her employees, said her very rudely, that she didn’t have ability to manage them. All these words were told public and after fair quantity of alcohol. She didn’t have enough forces to contain tears. It was so terrible. Later I said that guys can’t evaluate her because of their incompetence and ignorance.
Also this big event has been remarkable drunk too much alcohol, that has led to various unpleasant cases, such as vomiting, fighting and broken nose. Next day we had to use our office for awarding winners of advertising campaign, so it was quite tough to put it in order. Really it’s so terrible that such drunkenness was approved and even initiated by our TOP MANAGEMENT. Very strange approach for company running isn’t it.
Today is Monday again. Really I don’t remember the worst day, even a week ago. But strangely enough it wasn’t linked with my job. Just with me. Firstly I have running nose and I have problems with realizing things around me. I’ve offended my good friend. Now he ignores me - doesn’t answer a call, doesn’t reply SMS, turns off ICQ. And another one bad news, of cause which can be solved, but I can’t think of this today.
